HIFU Technology at Elyzea
High-intensity focused ultrasound, with depths planned zone by zone
HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a technology, not a brand. It concentrates ultrasound energy at precise points beneath the skin to stimulate new collagen, with no incisions. At Elyzea, HIFU works at several depths (1.5 mm, 3.0 mm and 4.5 mm) and is performed by Dra. Geldres herself, a board-certified plastic surgeon.
Treatment features
| Technology | High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) |
| Treatment depths | 1.5 mm (superficial dermis), 3.0 mm (deep dermis), 4.5 mm (SMAS) |
| Effect | Point-specific thermal microcoagulation (60–70 °C) that stimulates new collagen |
| Typical zones | Face, neck, jowls, abdomen, arms, thighs |
| Session duration | 30–90 minutes depending on zones |
| Downtime | Zero (resume activities immediately) |

Depths by zone
Treating the SMAS layer and the dermis in the same session, with a map for each zone, is what produces the lifting effect.
The right energy
HIFU run at low energy so it "doesn't hurt" also lowers the result. Energy is adjusted to your phototype and tolerance.
Performed by a plastic surgeon
At Elyzea, HIFU is performed by Dra. Geldres herself, with an in-depth knowledge of facial anatomy.
Honest candidacy
Mild to moderate laxity responds well; if your case needs a different technique, we tell you before you start.
How we use it at Elyzea
Dra. Geldres configures each session defining depths by zone: typically 4.5 mm on the jawline and neck (for deep SMAS tightening), 3.0 mm on cheeks and forehead (for dermal remodeling), and 1.5 mm selectively in superficial zones like eye contour. Shot density is adjusted to laxity and phototype.
No generic protocols. Each patient receives a shot map designed for their case, documented in the clinical chart for reproducibility across future sessions.
