Morpheus8 is an InMode device with FDA clearance and international certifications. It combines insulated gold-tipped microneedles with fractional radiofrequency to reach deep skin layers (up to 4 mm) and remodel tissue without burning the surface. Clones of similar appearance exist but don't replicate the precise thermal control of the original.

Differences vs clones
Insulated microneedles
Original needles are insulated except at the tip — energy releases only at the target depth, without burning the surface. Clones don't insulate properly and can cause epidermal damage.
Biocompatible gold tips
Non-reactive gold avoids allergic reactions. Many clones use lower-grade metals that can trigger hypersensitivity.
Precise thermal control
Integrated temperature sensor halts RF if skin exceeds safe thresholds. Clones lack this protection.
Safe on darker skin
Depth + RF without affecting surface makes original Morpheus8 safe on phototypes IV-VI. Clones without thermal control can cause hyperpigmentation.
How we use it
Dra. Geldres sets depth by zone: typically 3–4 mm for deep acne scars, 2–3 mm for facial laxity, 1–2 mm for superficial texture. RF energy is adjusted to tissue type and phototype. Each patient gets a documented treatment map for consistency across sessions.
Topical anesthetic is applied 45 minutes before the procedure. During the session, the device delivers RF pulses through the microneedles, creating columns of controlled thermal coagulation that stimulate neocollagen without damaging the surface.
